Chiara's Language Café

Chiara’s Language Café is a language learning space dedicated to Italian and French, where communication comes first. Lessons are designed to help learners use the language in real-life situations, focusing on speaking, listening, and meaningful interaction.The café offers individual and small group lessons, both online and in person, as well as conversation- and literature-based activities, such as Book Clubs. Courses are always adapted to individual goals and learning styles.

About me

Hi! I’m Chiara, a language teacher and intercultural mediator from Genoa, Italy. I’m Italian and bilingual in French, and languages have been my passion ever since I can remember. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about travel, literature, and exploring new cultures.
I hold two degrees in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, and I love helping students discover and enjoy new languages.I live in Leiden, a city I fall in love with more and more every day. I’m currently learning Dutch myself, so I know what it feels like to start from scratch!
Whether you want to learn for work, study, a move abroad, or simply for pleasure, I’ll help you reach your goals step by step.

• €25 per 1 hour session
-> A guided reading and discussion session held in Italian and French, focused on conversation, vocabulary, and cultural insights.Online and in-person lessons available.
Beginner levels (A1–A2) are taught in English.
